Wedding Rehearsal & Dinner

I am so excited to finally start our wedding recap! I've recapped other weddings before on this blog, but this is going to be extra-special since this is our wedding and it's going to take quite a bit longer than my other recap posts. My goal is to post a new part of my recap each day this week, so hopefully all of my reviews and pictures will be available to you by the end of the week. We'll see how I do with that.

First up - our rehearsal & rehearsal dinner! I don't have too many pictures from this night, but I'll do my best to fill you in. All pictures are from my dad.

Wedding Rehearsal

Our rehearsal took place the night before our wedding on October 7. We had everyone there except for one of my bridesmaids who was driving in from New York. But we knew she'd catch on quickly the next day since she's a total bridesmaid pro :)

I was a little nervous for our rehearsal since I didn't know what to expect. The only other wedding I've been in was my sister's a couple of years ago, and I honestly don't remember the rehearsal. Mostly I was nervous because I was afraid I would forget everything we were going over, and I wouldn't know what to do at our ceremony. Luckily, everything worked out in the end and I had nothing to worry about.

Our rehearsal ran really smoothly, and we even got a sneak peek of our wedding slideshow that Drew had made up.
Probably making fun of the random stock images that kept playing on the screens.
Getting fake married.

Rehearsal Dinner

Our rehearsal dinner took place at Timbers Bar & Grill in Saginaw, which is adjacent to the banquet center where we had our reception the next night. We had a nice, low-key time where all of our out-of-town wedding party got a chance to meet each other and our families got to get to know each other a bit better.

There was plenty of excitement at our rehearsal dinner since Drew's dad had the idea for everyone to share stories about me and Drew when we were younger. It was emotional and fun and a great way to kick off our wedding weekend!
Addressing our crowd.
Our reception lasted pretty long - until about 11 or 11:30 pm, when we had to go next door to set up our centerpieces and escort cards for the reception! Luckily, we had help from almost everyone at our rehearsal dinner and the banquet staff, so everything went really quickly.

I honestly don't remember too much else from our rehearsal & rehearsal dinner because I was looking forward too much to our actual wedding day. Knowing that the next day would be a life-changing one kind of made everything the night before blur in my mind a bit.

Tomorrow I'll post my first recap from our wedding day! Get excited.
